Eduardo Cazap MD, PhD is the founder and first President of the Latin American & Caribbean Society of Medical Oncology (SLACOM) and in 2008 was elected by the General Assembly of the International Union against Cancer (UICC-Geneva) as President for the 2010-2012 period.
As well as having published over 170 papers, his main areas of research and interest are: global health, cancer control and prevention, breast and cervical cancer, independent clinical research.
He is also the Chairman of the International Clinical Trials Working Group (ICTWG) of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO)
Recently he has been appointed as Chairman of the Scientific Council of the International School of Senology , Senologic International Society (SIS), Strasbourg, France as well as Expert of the World Oncology Forum (WOF) of the European School of Oncology (ESO); Lugano, Switzerland.
Eduardo Cazap is a regular plenary speaker, chair or moderator at global cancer and health meetings as well as playing a role in organizing major international conferences.
