Giuditta Mannelli is an Assistant Professor of Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Florence since November 1st 2015.
She has been a visiting resident at the Center for Laryngeal Surgery and Voice Rehabilitation, directed by Dr S.M. Zeitels, at Massachussetts General
Hospital in Boston, USA as a clinical laryngology fellow at Ear Nose & Throat at the Royal London Hospital and she has also worked as clinical thyroid and head and neck senior fellow for four months at Lister Hospital, East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, Stevenage, UK.
Her main clinical and surgical skills are laryngology and head and neck surgery; and her main research interests are: new surgical devices in head and neck surgery and new diagnostic techniques in laryngeal pathologies, mini-invasive and conservative head and neck surgery; laryngeal regenerative medicine and rehabilitation.
She has published more than 40 papers in reputed journals, 1 book and has been serving as an editorial board member. She won several National research awards and she took part in many congresses and courses. She is also an active academic member for the project ErasmusPlus with the University of Uganda for a charity thyroid camp at St. Mary’s Hospital in Lacor. She is a voluntary member of a National Association for home care of advanced stage cancer patients,
