Dr. Alok Mishra earned his MS (Biotechnology) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee and PhD (Cancer Biology) from the University of Delhi. He trained as a postdoctoral fellow at the National Cancer Institutes (NIH), Winship Cancer Institute (Emory University) and Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins University (JHU). Later he also worked as a Research Associate (Faculty) at Emory University and as a Research Scientist at CNRM before joining as Research Associate (Faculty) at JHU in 2016.
His areas of research are signal transduction, regulation of gene expression, transcriptomics, hsp90 in nuclear receptor gene regulation and transcription factors in context of carcinogenesis and stemness, circulating tumor DNA biology, radiation oncology etc. Dr Mishra holds several awards, serves as a reviewer of many journals and has also been an active member of AACR, SNO, European Institute of Oncology and Endocrine Society.
