Dr Prebo Barango speaks to ecancer at the SIOG 2019 meeting in Geneva about the Universal Health Coverage Agenda to build capacity for a better health system in the Africa region

He explains the effectiveness of the SIOG Advanced Courses in strengthening the African health system - especially in terms of geriatric care.

Dr Barango states that the burden of cancer varies from each region, and the healthcare services will need to consider that.

Moving forward, strong healthcare systems are required in order to treat the increasing older population in low-to-middle income countries.
