Prof Noel Clarke (The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, Manchester, UK) chairs a discussion with Dr Cora Sternberg (San Camillo Forlanini Hospital, Rome, Italy), Dr Kurt Miller (Benjamin Franklin Medical Center, Berlin, Germany), and Prof Piotr Jan Wysocki (Poznan University of Medical Sciences, Poznan, Poland) for ecancertv, about recent advances in castration resistant prostate cancer (CRPC).

They discuss the changing landscape of prostate cancer over the last decade and how this has impacted on treatment practices and outcomes for patients, with reference to the latest data presented at ASCO 2014.

They consider the potential future of the evolving treatment options in CRPC, including the disease in its later stages, and identify patient sub-groups that can optimally benefit from new treatment approaches and the clinical strategies available to overcome androgen resistance.

This programme has been supported by an unrestricted educational grant from Janssen Pharmaceutica (A Johnson & Johnson Company).
