Nurses must lead in patient and family education as they have the ability to focus on the importance of a patient's quality of life.
There is a growing need to educate nurses and put them in a position to advocate for the patient and help educate the next generation of nurses. However, the shortage of qualified and educated oncology nurses is hampering this.
