Dr Stacey Cohen - Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, Washington, USA

Dr Stacey Cohen speaks to ecancer as part of ASCO GI 2023 about her study which looked at the kinetics of postop circulating cell-free DNA (cfDNA) and impact on MRD detection rates in resected stage I-III colorectal cancer.

She explains that cfDNA kinetics of 417 patients were analysed retrospectively and compared with the ctDNA MRD positivity rates at various time points after surgery.

Dr Cohen reports that the study demonstrated no significant trend for plasma cfDNA levels on ctDNA detection rates across different MRD windows.
