Lewis Silverman is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of the Myelodysplastic Syndrome and Myeloproliferative Disease Program, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, in New York City. He served as Principal Investigator of the randomised Phase III trial of Azacitidine vs. Supportive Care which served as the basis for approval of Azacitidine by the FDA for MDS in the United States.
