Prof Greg Shaw speaks to ecancer about the NeuroSAFE PROOF study.

The NeuroSAFE PROOF Study investigates how a frozen section intraoperative margin evaluation impacts sexual potency and continence following radical prostatectomy.

Involving 400 men from five UK NHS centres, participants were divided into two groups: one receiving the NeuroSAFE intervention and the other following standard procedures.

Results showed a significant improvement in sexual potency for the NeuroSAFE group at twelve months, suggesting its incorporation into clinical practice for better patient outcomes.
