Dr Swati Jain speaks perceptions regarding tobacco control strategies amongst female youth in Delhi, India.
She begins by explaining that 267 million Indians currently use tobacco, contributing to the country's high tobacco burden.
Dr Jain believes that preventing tobacco use in the youth is crucial to the success of tobacco control, which is why this study used a questionnaire aimed at discovering the tobacco awareness of school children.
She reports that the majority of participants were aware of the damaging effects of tobacco and wanted to contribute actively towards tobacco control.
